This movie is a spin-off. It has nothing to do with the canon of the series. But hey, it’s still a great movie. It’s nice to see someone make a movie based on an anime that doesn’t suck. I just watched this last night on “Adult Swim” and it was great.
You know what would’ve been cool? If Senna kissed Ichigo before she vanished. Or how about if Ichigo took a ride on the ferris wheel at the end by himself since he never did it with Senna.
Just to clear it up. The way I see the ending is that by now Ichigo has probably forgotten about Senna, but he’s almost reminded of her when the ribbon lands on his hand and that lookalike passes him by. It’s up to the viewer to deduce if that would truly be Senna or if it’s all just coincidence. Either way, Ichigo was happy in the end.
